Can I work as an HCC coder with a CPC certification? I'm already halfway through my CPC course and I realized after watching this video that I mostly like working with ICD codes... I strongly dislike procedural codes. So after i get my certification I'm wondering if I can apply for HCC positions? Thank you :)

Do you have to obtain a certificate for each state,or can you certify in Florida and move to Tennessee and work under the Florida certificate?

After further research I was kind of worried that I might not land a job because I don’t have first hand experience or the need of externship and intership since most of the employers want some experience. I think fill in the blank is not necessary. Cause some full in the blanks are objective. You can have a fill in the blank tanta can have several different answers or the person may not even understand it. For me, fill in the blank are extremely difficult. But that’s me.

Hi, I had already take the medical billing and coding associate's degree program in 2018, and still could not get a basic starting job. I did not want to work on the coding side, mainly cause I understood the billing side more. Can you tell me what you think would help me even be considered for a job working in the healthcare field somewhere, i.e., certifications?

Thank you for your insights! Can I ask if these online courses are applicable in Canada as well. I'm about to start a HIM postgrad degree yet the syllabus has nothing about medical coding, so I guess I have to do some side study and prep for the certification myself.

I just finished my Preppy course and received my medical billing and coding specialist certificate from NWCA. Does this have the same weight as the AAPC?

I graduated in 2016 and I didn’t renew my license because I couldn’t find a job in Florida. I want get my license renew and I have my Associates degree for it. What I need to do?

Took class online for Medical coding and billing. My teacher told the class it was a good I deal to take the CBCS tests next, and if we have any questions regarding the test to contact him, I tried to reach out to him after I graduated and he told me that the test was for someone that has been in the field for years and he couldn't fit me in to his busy schedule. I have know support, and have never done this before. But Im not giving up. I now wish that I would have taken CPC classes. I just feel lost.

Hi and thanks for your channel and all the great information. I am interested in Preppy for learning medical coding but the online program says I will get a "​Certificate of Completion." My question if you have time would be, is this all I need to be job ready? Is this ​Certificate of Completion enough for employers to hire me remote, or part time? I am not interested in a college degree or associates degree I just want to get certified. Thank you!!

Hi I live in Ruston Louisiana. I am in the middle of getting my certification and trying to find a medical coding job to try to get a head start. All of the jobs that are hiring around me are out of town have a lot of other requirements (EMR ect.) I’m trying to find a remote job but not sure when looking because of scams. If anyone knows of any places that will hire me and/or let me work at home I’d appreciate it😊

I am curious about job opportunities when I complete the preppy program. I have 22 years experience in radiology and started this program to make a switch out of patient care but it looks like most jobs I see say 3 years or more experience required. How do new grads of the program get a job in this field with no experience?
